Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday directed police to take action against former Sindh Home Minister Dr Zulfiqar Mirza, if any crime is proved to the effect to validate his culpability in a blasphemy case. Former Sindh MPA Rauf Siddiqui moved the court against Mirza with a view to registering a blasphemy case against him. Siddiqui was of the opinion that the concerned police station was not filing an FIR against Mirza.

The SHC, therefore, directed the investigation officer of the concerned police station to write down the statement of Siddiqui. The SHC ordered the investigation officer to initiate action against the former home minister Mirza in accordance with the law if his crime is proved to the effect to validate his culpability in the case.
